Covering payroll

It's "everyother" Friday. That means payroll. So I spent the morning reviewing bank accounts, calculating exactly how much money needs to be in which account and making the necessary trips to the banks to make it all happen. It never ceases to amaze me that somehow, even in the worst of times, a way is provided to deal with all my needs. Sure it takes some work, a little thought and then action, but the road always becomes clear. I'd like to think it all works out because I so smart, but if I did it would be a delusion. The fact is that I'm not all that bright. Mr. Average at best. I do however have a deep and abiding faith that if I do all I can, the balance of what is needed will be done by him who can do anything. Yes, I believe in an all powerful God. I believe him to be the father of my spirit. I know him to love me and make his benevolence known in my life by sustaining me in times of need and granting me periodic times of plenty. Sometimes when I forget, he gently reminds me that I cannot do it alone. I know that I need him, and although painful at times, I appreciate the reminder.
Spring time is great. I love the change of weather and I am hard at work preparing to complain mightily about the weeds, the heat, the sweat, the pollen and the days that are so long that I feel like they will go on forever. I am also looking forward to the improved summer change in our motel business, the brightness of the flowers and the sweet fragrance of the Tropicana roses next to our house. Spring time always gives me hope and I periodically find myself filled with great joy for no apparent reason. (There are some that claim I am full of other things and they have the right to their opinion no matter how ill founded.) I'm tellin you friend, life is worth living!
We're working on getting a website finalized for our new software company. It's one of those deals where a need (mine) generated and idea. The idea generated excitement. The excitement generated a commitment, and the commitment required a large expense in time and money. So we will soon find out whether I am the only person alive who needs or wants this new software and service, or whether I am part of a larger contingency. I am looking forward to introducing it to the market. It is the only one of its kind that we could find. Even google and searches of the patent and trademark office confirmed that we have something new. How darn exciting is that?
Well, I'm hungry and I have a fundamental belief that when a person is hungry he/she should eat. So I'm out of here to hunt and gather. I will hunt down a suitable fast food joint and gather the goods into my mouth. It's something I have developed a skill for over the past 54 years.
